IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION WITH REGARDS TO ONLINE PAYMENT
If your online payment with credit card fails, please DO NOT ATTEMPT to use the same credit card again until lapse of 24 hours. You will not be able to use the same credit card to make an online payment until lapse of 24 hours from the time you had last used/attempted to use the same credit card online, to pay for a U.S. visa processing fee on this website.
VISA PROCESSING TIME
Visa processing time typically may take at least 5 to 7 business days. However, processing time for specific cases may vary due to an individual’s circumstances and other special requirements, and this may take a longer time. Visa processing cannot be expedited.
Please do not pay for travel arrangements such as airfare without having a U.S. visa in your possession. The Embassy/Consulate bears no responsibility if you do so. The Embassy/Consulate is unable to guarantee the issuance of a visa before any fixed travel date.
Note: A business day is defined as a day between Monday and Friday (excluding U.S. and New Zealand public holidays observed in Auckland).
DS-160 & Supporting Documents
An applicant must print and bring a copy of the DS-160 confirmation page together with the supporting documents with him/her when attending the interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Auckland.
If an applicant has opted for interview waiver, the applicant must include a printed copy of the DS-160 confirmation page together with the supporting documents in the package to be sent to the U.S. Consulate General.
Please note that after an applicant has submitted the online DS-160, he/she will receive the DS-160 confirmation page. If an applicant does not have DS-160 confirmation page and the supporting documents with him/her during the interview, or in the interview waiver package, the visa application process will be delayed.
